Water Park
Brand New Water Park
 The big news at Vela Blu is its brand new Water Park, a little bit of pool heaven with slides, water games and hydro-massage, keeping our grown-up and, most important of all, smaller guests, happy.
The park comprises two pools, one traditional Olympics type where you can swim or unwind beneath one of the many back therapy fountains and the other, winding and lively with a happy feel to it, is just perfect for playing about and having fun, surrounded by water spouts, slides and more bubbles than a glass of champagne.
Keeping the children happy, on one side of the larg e kiddies’ pool, there’s a lovable frog, with 3 slides descending from its mouth. The pool’s different zones are a real surprise, with waterfalls, sheets of water and bubbles!
There’s the bubble beach, a type of shoreline where sparkling jets of water gush out to accompany your descent to the pool, or the large hydro-massage tub with its central geyser, is where to go to unwind and cool down in the hot summer hours.
 Lovely, delicate and lively, the water park also has a green heart, and it was conceived with a view to being as eco-friendly as possible. The park is set-up so that solar energy can power the heating, while porous flooring has been laid around the pools. Spare water, instead of being sent to the mains sewers, is used to flush the centre’s toilets as well as those of the entire campsite, passing first through the necessary filtration basins.
And then there’s the green. To screen off the pool, and minimise its visual and noise impact on the rest of the campsite, about fifty palm trees of all different sizes and in excess of 200 pine trees have been put there, so Vela Blu has become even greener.
